Is it possible that not only the plants and animals but also the humans living in the northern countries - where it freezes over in winter - are hard-wired to prepare for winter? Is it possible that they are endowed with a greater sense of urgency and purpose as a result? In the warm south, if you cannot get around to something today there is always tomorrow - right?
